The Newfoundland and Labrador Policy Network is an initiative of the Office of the Executive Council of the provincial government. Through the establishment of a network of policy researchers, analysts and developers, this initiative will promote collaboration, exchanges of experience, professional development, and a shared desire for excellence in the development of public policy. These activities will all contribute to the over-arching goal of building policy capacity in the province.

The network welcomes policy practitioners from the public, private and community sectors. The aim of the network is to be a "network of practice". It will focus more on "how" good policy is developed rather than "what" the policies should be. Members of the network will be linked together through a newsletter, a website and periodic conferences and events.
